Junior Golf Program Since 1997, Indy Parks' Junior Golf Program has increased Indianapolis youth's exposure to the game of golf and continues to make the game more accessible to all youth, regardless of economic status, sex or racial orientation. By offering this instructional program free of charge and providing clubs to those who need them, we are breaking down the two most significant barriers to participation. Our program aspires to do more than simply teach the techniques rules and etiquette of golf. We understand the importance of teaching self-discipline, motivation and integrity, as well as fostering self-esteem. These traits are the foundation upon which character development and responsible citizenship ultimately stands. Contact our Junior Golf Program office at 317-327-7434 or 317-862-9000 for more information.
Dollar Golf Program In striving to offer opportunities to families and youth players, Indy Parks established the "Dollar Golf" program at two of its municipal courses. Call Thatcher (244-0713) or Douglass (924-0018) Golf Courses for details.
First Tee Chapter In Fall of 2003, Indy Parks Golf became a First Tee Chapter. First Tee was created by the World Golf Foundation in 1997 to bring golf to youngsters who otherwise would not be exposed to the game and its positive values. With support from golf's major organizations, the World Golf Foundation has continued to grow and promote the game.
Indy Parks will construct the city's 14th golf facility at 25th Street and the Monon Trail to serve exclusively as a First Tee Course and Learning Center. Check back for more details!
