Commercial Facade Grant Program

Due to city budget cutbacks caused from decades-old financial woes, the City of Indianapolis will no longer fund the Commercial Facade Grant Program in 2005-06. This program helped businesses and organizations make repairs and improvements to the fronts of their buildings by granting reimbursement (ranging from $1,000 to $10,000) for up to 50 percent of the cost of the project.

The Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), which partnered with the city on this program, will continue to make grant funds available for facade improvements.  Preference will be given to businesses and organizations in targeted revitalization program areas, including: Martin Luther King, Jr. St., West Washington St., the Fountain Square area, East 10th St., and 16th St.
