BIDDING OPPORTUNITIES

IMPORTANT: The City of Indianapolis-Marion County has modified its bid packets for public works projects. For all bids submitted for opening on October 30, 2003 and after, bidders must submit a subcontractor's list with their bid documents. Failure to submit the subcontractor's list at the time of bid submission shall cause the bid to be deemed non-responsive. Questions related to this modification should be directed to Bob Ransom of the City's Division of Equal Opportunity at 327-5261.
Obtaining Bid & Quote Packets:
1. Many bid and quote packets may now be downloaded in PDF format unless otherwise specified. Select a bid or quote that is of interest to you by double clicking on the ITB number. You will be transferred to a bid holder's form that must be completed before the download process can begin. Once the form is submitted, you may begin the download process. Please note this service is available Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Should you have any problems with the process, please call 317-327-4900. Most construction projects and ITMs cannot be downloaded at this time.
2. Bid and quote packets may be picked up from our office at, 200 E. Washington St., Suite 1522, Indianapolis, IN 46204, during normal office hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Vendors should call ahead to make sure packets are available, especially for construction projects.
3. Construction projects requiring a plan charge may be shipped to a vendor, providing payment and an overnight shipping account number is included with the written request. The request should be faxed to (317) 327-4493 on company letterhead stating the contact person's name, shipping address, telephone and fax numbers. Payment may be made by company check payable to the City of Indianapolis-Marion County. Failure to provide this information may delay shipping. We are unable to accept credit cards at this time.

The City of Indianapolis has modified its bid packets for public works projects effective March 1, 2005.
Significant changes have been made to the MBE/WBE Participation Requirements. These changes are outlined in Section 9 of the Instructions to Bidders and Part 6, A of the bid proposal packet . There is also a new form, APPLICATION FOR MBE/WBE PROGRAM WAIVER that has been added to the proposal packet. If there are any questions regarding these changes, please contact Robert Ransom of the Division of Equal Opportunity (DEO) at 317-327-5262.
