Indy Stimulus Information
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act became law on February 17, 2009. Congress and President Obama have decided to commit $787 billion in spending and tax relief in hopes of stimulating the economy and creating jobs.

Mayor Ballard is working diligently with federal and state government agencies along with our congressional delegation to allocate the stimulus money in the best interests of our community.

"My administration has been aggressive in fighting for stimulus dollars for much-needed projects in Indianapolis," said Mayor Ballard. " Whether it is for public safety, transportation, sustainability, or education and jobs, I will make sure these funds are spent wisely and with the goal of enhancing our city's livability in mind. I hope you find this web site useful as a tool to track our stimulus projects.  If you have any questions, please contact my office."

Recently, Deputy Mayor of Neighborhoods, Olgen Williams, took part in the White House Recovery and Reinvestment Act Implementation Conference hosted by Vice President Joe Biden in Washington D.C.
