The Indianapolis-Cologne Sister City Committee, IFD Survive Alive to host “A Taste of Germany”
INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis-Cologne Sister City Committee, along with the Indianapolis Fire Department (IFD), will host “A Taste of Germany” fundraiser featuring authentic German food and beverages next week.
When: Friday, August 17 5 – 10 p.m.
Where: Firefighters Union Hall 748 Massachusetts Ave.
The fundrasier will benefit “Survive Alive” – a program designed to teach children fire and live safety education - and the Sister City committee, a citizen-based cross-cultural initiative that will celebrate the 30th anniversary of formal ties with Cologne, Germany in 2008.
Tickets are $50 each and are available at Claus' German Sausage & Meats, 1845 South Shelby Street, Indianapolis; Helmut Fortense at Form + Function, Nora Plaza, 1300 East 86th Street, Indianapolis; Juergen Jungbauer at Heidelberg Haus, 7625 Pendleton Pike, Indianapolis; or at the historic Firefighters Union Hall. The event is only open to those 21 and older.
