Statement by Mayor Peterson on drug indictments, drug ring
“Today’s developments involving busting one of the larger drug rings we’ve ever seen shows that law enforcement, from all levels, is working hard to make Indianapolis’ streets safer. Taking these people off the street is an important step toward reducing the level of violence in this city.
“Collaboration among federal, state and local officials will continue to play an important role as our city fights this war on crime. I am proud of the efforts of all involved, especially the officers of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department who have and will continue to be proactive and innovative in combating crime and increasing public safety in our community.”
