Mayor to kickoff Operation: Hire a Hoosier Vet
INDIANAPOLIS - Mayor Bart Peterson will participate in the kickoff of “Operation: Hire a Hoosier Vet”, the inaugural veterans’ job fair for Indianapolis and surrounding counties.
WHEN: Wednesday, April 25; 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Mayor will kickoff the program at 10 a.m.
WHERE: AMVETS Post 99; 2840 Lafayette Rd.
Hoosier veterans are being given the opportunity to meet local employers who are interested in hiring reliable and dependable employees.
Hosts of the event include: the City of Indianapolis in collaboration with the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Vocational Rehabilitation and Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation Enduring Freedom (OIF/OEF), Veterans Benefit Administration (VBA) Chapter 31, the Department of Workforce Development Veterans Employment and Training Services, Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs, HVAF of Indiana, Vet Center, and other community organizations.
