Executive recruiting firm moves downtown; will add more than 200 high-paying jobs

INDIANAPOLIS  — Mayor Bart Peterson and Lt. Governor Becky Skillman today joined executives from PrincetonOne to announce the company’s move to Downtown Indianapolis and an expansion that will add more than 200 new, high-paying jobs.

PrincetonOne is one of the 10 largest recruitment firms in the nation, delivering fully integrated  assessment, recruitment, retention, staffing, training and organizational development services through its 19 U.S. and international offices, which include locations in Europe and Asia.

PrincetonOne could have moved elsewhere in the U.S., according to CEO Dave Campeas, but company officials opted to stay and grow in Indianapolis.

Campeas said a package of local and state incentives, which included an offer for city tax abatement and $60,000 in state training grants and $2 million in state tax credits, played a critical role in the company’s decision to choose Indianapolis. Campeas also credited the availability of local professional talent.

“The workforce in Indiana, particularly in Indianapolis, is a very well-educated and skilled workforce,” said Campeas. “In fact, we are able to find some of the most qualified people in our business right here in Indianapolis.”

“PrincetonOne is another great example of a successful company that could have expanded anywhere in the country, but they chose to make a significant investment and create hundreds of new, high-paying jobs right here in Indianapolis,” Mayor Bart Peterson said. “This expansion says a great deal about PrincetonOne’s commitment to our city and shows the continued strength of our surging economy.”

The firm’s Central Indiana operations are now located in the 7th floor of the historic Century Building at 36 Pennsylvania Street.  The move Downtown came after PrincetonOne decided to expand and consolidate its offices in Carmel and Greenwood.

Governor Mitch Daniels called PrincetonOne’s growth and success, “One more step on the long uphill climb toward a stronger and more diversified economy.”
