Mayor, fire chief, community leaders to outline local efforts to keep people safe and warm during frigid temps
INDIANAPOLIS – Mayor Bart Peterson will join community leaders and Indianapolis Fire Department Chief Jim Greeson to outline local efforts and programs aimed at keeping people safe and warm during the frigid days ahead.

After a mild beginning to this year’s winter season, the city is experiencing its coldest days of the year. Temperatures this week are expected to hit lows of zero degrees Fahrenheit, with wind chill factors making it feel even colder.
The Mayor and community leaders will highlight, among other things, efforts to help low income families and individuals struggling to pay high heating costs.
