City, state delegation activities, site visits at Super Bowl XLI
South florida – Members of an Indianapolis delegation are on the ground in South Florida this weekend to learn about the preparation and planning for Super Bowl XLI. The delegation is being led by Mayor Bart Peterson, Gov. Mitch Daniels, and Fred Glass, president of Indianapolis 2011, Inc., and the city’s effort to attract the Super Bowl in 2011.
Other members of the delegation include representatives from: the Capital Improvement Board, Indianapolis Convention & Visitors Association (ICVA), Indiana Sports Corporation, Indianapolis Downtown Inc. and the City of Indianapolis.
All funds for the bid process, including travel, are being raised privately. All city staffers are responsible for paying for all aspects of their trip.

February 2: Mayor Peterson will arrive in South Florida. Details of his schedule will be released later tonight or tomorrow.
