As public information officer, Nussmeyer will oversee the day-to-day media and communications activities for DPW, the city agency responsible for maintaining public infrastructure, preserving the local environment and managing municipal solid waste collection and disposal.
Nussmeyer returns to DPW after directing campaign efforts for Indiana State Senate candidates. Prior to this position, she was an assistant PIO at DPW and managed the city’s Knozone program. She also served as the deputy press secretary at the Indiana Department of Workforce Development during the O’Bannon-Kernan administration. In 2000, Nussmeyer graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Public Affairs. She can be reached at 327-5235.
