Mayor Bart Peterson’s statement on Councilor Borst leaving the council
“The council and our community will be losing one of its long-time, dedicated public servants when Phil Borst steps down later this year.
Phil’s been a great partner in city government, and I have always enjoyed working with him. Though we may come from different sides of the political aisle, Phil Borst is a living example of the saying that you can ‘disagree with someone without being disagreeable.’
He’s a class act, a great leader and a friend, and he’ll leave a legacy of leadership and experience that will be irreplaceable.
I thank him for his tremendous leadership and I wish him the best in his life after the council.”
