New DMD PIO appointed
INDIANAPOLIS – Anne Coffey has been hired as the new Public Information Officer for the Department of Metropolitan Development (DMD). Coffey’s appointment is effective immediately.
As public information officer, Coffey will oversee media and communications for DMD, the city agency that manages zoning and planning, code enforcement, economic and community development initiatives, historic preservation and the Mayor’s Action Center.
Coffey replaces Justin Ohlemiller, who was named Mayor’s Press Secretary earlier this year.
Coffey comes to DMD after working nearly three years as project management associate and marketing assistant with MedFocus at Eli Lilly where she helped manage internal communications and prepare written submissions to the Federal Drug Administration for approval of treatments to help fight lung and ovarian cancer. Prior to that position, Coffey worked in marketing at Alt and Witzig Engineering in Indianapolis.
Coffey graduated in 2002 from Marquette University with a degree in journalism. She can be reached at 327-3690
