Mayor to host next "City Hall for a Day" in Martindale-Brightwood
INDIANAPOLIS – Mayor Bart Peterson and members of his administration will host the ninth "City Hall for a Day" next month in the Martindale-Brightwood neighborhood on the city's near northeast side.

The boundaries for the area to be included in "City Hall for a Day" activities are Massachusetts Ave. (south), the Monon Trail (west), Sherman Dr. (east) and 34th St., from the Monon to Keystone, and 30th St., Keystone to Sherman streets (north).
An updated schedule of City Hall for a Day events will be posted and updated as necessary starting next week at www.indygov.org/mayor.
As a part of the "City Hall for a Day" and the Mayor's summer crime prevention strategy, city crews will launch a series of neighborhood blitzes in Martindale-Brightwood. City crews flood the area to cut high weeds, pick up trash and debris along streets and alleys, fill potholes, pick up stray animals, remove illegal signs and fix broken signs and lights.
City crews were working in the northwest corner of Martindale-Brightwood on August 30 last week, and future blitzes and cleanups are scheduled for:
- Thursday, September 14 – city crews (southwest corner)
- Thursday, September 21 (southeast corner)
- Saturday, September 30 - Martindale-Brightwood Community Clean-Up Day.
