Mayor to meet with Special Events Task Force to discuss plans for IBE Summer Celebration
INDIANAPOLIS – Mayor Bart Peterson will meet with his Special Events Task Force to review downtown traffic, parking and hospitality plans for next week’s Indiana Black Expo’s Summer Celebration, one of the city’s largest annual events.

4:30-5:30 p.m.
The Mayor will speak from 4:30-4:45 p.m.

The Mayor created the task force four years ago to assist the Mayor, the Indianapolis Police Department (IPD) and event organizers in ensuring that all major downtown events are safe and successful and that residents and visitors have a positive experience in Indianapolis.
The task force includes representatives of the Mayor’s office, IPD, downtown businesses, hotels and restaurants, Indiana Black Expo and others.
