We join the Mayor in offering our heart-felt condolences and prayers to the families and friends of the victims that were slain last evening.

Together we stand to condemn this terrible act of violence.  While the horror of this heinous crime is unprecedented, the Indianapolis community has stood through hardships and tragedy before, and we do so again in unity.

We cannot and will not let this violent act shake our will as a community.  Indianapolis stands strong, people of all races, religions, cultures and nationalities. Together we affirm our commitment to what is great about Indianapolis ˇV our unity, our intolerance of violence, and our respect for one another.

In the days ahead, we urge everyone to join together to support law enforcement as it investigates this horrible crime.

Indianapolis and its people remain strong, and we will come together like never before to stand up against violence in our community.
