In its 57th year, Intel ISEF is the world’s largest science competition for high school-aged students. The student participants, who represent 47 countries, territories and regions, compete for scholarships, tuition grants, internships and scientific field trips.
Indianapolis hosted the fair in 1960, which consisted of 328 student participants. This year’s fair has approximately 1,500 student participants with an additional 3,500 families, judges, Nobel Laureates, fair directors and others.
Hosting the Intel ISEF allows Indianapolis to showcase the city and its educational and professional opportunities. The students will visit local landmarks, universities, leading corporations and other prominent locations across Indianapolis and the state.
