Mayor to announce city action to shut down one of IPD’s top crime hotspots
INDIANAPOLIS - Eastside residents, business leaders and Indianapolis Police Department Chief Michael Spears will join Mayor Bart Peterson to announce action taken by the city to shut down the Indy East Motel, one of IPD’s top crime hotspots on the city’s Eastside.

Where: 5804 East Washington Street (East parking lot of Indy Cycle Specialist)
Over the last several years, the Indy East has become a haven for crime and blight. IPD has made more than 900 runs to the motel since 2001, including an average last year of nearly one run every other day.
