All damaged portions of One Indiana Square secured; all streets now reopened
INDIANAPOLIS - Ohio and Pennsylvania Streets will re-open today for rush hour.
WHEN: TODAY, 3:45 p.m.
In a 3 p.m. meeting today between One Indiana Square ownership, city officials and forensic engineers, the determination was made that all damaged portions of the building had been secured, removing the danger of falling debris.
This allows all vehicular traffic and pedestrian travel to resume along the Ohio, New York, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.
A perimeter had been established around the storm-damaged One Indiana Square to protect the public from falling glass, metal and other debris from the damaged portions of the building.
New York Street re-opened earlier this week to vehicular traffic, and travel resumed on Delaware on April 10.
NOTE: One lane on the east side of Pennsylvania will remain restricted, and one lane on the north side of Ohio will be partially blocked off, as well. Sidewalks directly adjacent to the building will remain blocked, however pedestrian traffic on the south side of Ohio and the west side of Pennsylvania will be reopened.
