Mayor Peterson to deliver Meals on Wheels TODAY
INDIANAPOLIS - Mayor Bart Peterson will deliver Meals on Wheels to Indianapolis-area homebound elderly and disabled persons as part of a national "Mayors for Meals" day to bring attention to more than 400 meal delivery programs across the country.
When: TODAY, Wednesday, March 22,
12:15 P.M.
Where: Two homes on the 4900 block of Norwaldo Ave. (exact addresses below)
-First delivery (approx. 12:15 ) 4924 Norwaldo Ave.
-Second delivery (approx. 12:30) 4935 Norwaldo Ave.
"Meals on Wheels is a tremendous organization that works tirelessly to reach out and care for those in need," said Mayor Peterson. "I am excited to take part in national ‘Mayors for Meals’ day, and I encourage others to join in the spirit of volunteerism and support the good work of Meals on Wheels."

About Meals on Wheels, Inc.
For 35 years, Meals on Wheels, Inc. has served home delivered meals to meet the nutrition needs of greater Indianapolis area homebound elderly and disabled. These meals supply 2/3 daily requirements to approximately 450 daily clients, and accommodate special diets. A nonprofit organization, MOW provides these services through the generosity of private donations, using more than 1,500 volunteers - individual citizens and others provided by corporations, churches and service organizations.
