Latino business delegation from Chicago to visit Indianapolis
INDIANAPOLIS - More than 28 Latino business leaders from the Latino Breakfast Club of Chicago (LBCC) and the Hispanic American Construction Industry Association (HACIA) will be visiting Indianapolis today as a part of a special business mission organized by Mayor Bart Peterson’s Commission on Latino Affairs (MCOLA).
"We are always looking for ways to create economic development opportunities for our local business community," Mayor Peterson said. "This Latino business mission will focus on relationship building, which could lead to new business opportunities in our city."
The delegation will be led by Richard Martinez, President of the LBCC and by Cesar Santoy, Director of HACIA. Both Latino business organizations are traveling to Indianapolis with a diverse group of business leaders from the Chicago area
The delegation will participate in several meetings with city and state officials and attend social events and other activities with local Latino and business leaders. National City Bank and 5/3 Bank are the official sponsors of this Latino business mission.
Since its creation, the MCOLA has received recognition from national Latino organizations and media for their successful programs and initiatives.
