Mayor to host “City Hall for a Day” in Decatur Township neighborhoods tomorrow
Indianapolis – Mayor Bart Peterson and members of his administration will host the tenth “City Hall for a Day” Thursday in Decatur Township neighborhoods.
When: Tomorrow – Thursday, October 5
“City Hall for a Day” brings many of the staff and resources of city government to a particular area of the city for one day, allowing the Mayor and city staffers to meet with local neighborhood leaders, visit local businesses, see community projects and activities, and take part in many other activities and events.
9:30 a.m. Department of Administration Director Sherlonda Anderson will visit Chase Bank.
9:30 a.m. Corporation Counsel Kobi Wright and Animal Care and Control Director Leslie Fatum will visit Heavin Chiropractic.
10 a.m. Corporation Counsel Kobi Wright and Animal Care and Control Director Leslie Fatum will visit Killian Insurance.
10:15 - 10:40 a.m. Mayor Peterson will visit the George Goodwin Community Center and visit a pre-school class and a seniors’ exercise class. Where: 3935 Mooresville Rd.
10:30 a.m. Deputy Mayor Steve Campbell and Director of Diversity Affairs Robin Shackleford will visit the Regions Bank.
10:30 a.m. Deputy Chief of Staff Andy Klineman and Director of Constituent Services Kristin Reed will visit Concentra.
10:30 a.m. Corporation Counsel Kobi Wright and Animal Care and Control Director Leslie Fatum will visit Allstate Insurance.
10:50 – 11:30 a.m. Mayor Peterson will kick off “City Hall for a Day” with a press conference to release the most recent accountability report for Mayor-sponsored charter schools. Where: Decatur Discovery Academy, 5125 Decatur Boulevard, Suite D.
11 a.m. Corporation Counsel Kobi Wright and Animal Care and Control Director Leslie Fatum will visit the Terrell Law Office.
11:20 a.m. Director of the Department of Public Works Kumar Menon, Director of Neighborhood Services Kevin Sifferlen and Deputy Director of Operations of Department of Public Works Pat Holdsworth will visit the National Weather Service.
11:30 a.m. After School Programs Coordinator David Klinkose and MBE/WBE Director Jonathan Carpenter will visit the Sterling Express Healthcare Clinic.
11:30 a.m. Corporation Counsel Kobi Wright and Animal Care and Control Director Leslie Fatum will visit the Decatur Vet Clinic.
11:30 a.m. Director of Latino Affairs Ricardo Gambetta and Director of Community Development Andy Fraizer will visit the Abbey Senior Living Apartments.
11:45 a.m.–12:45 p.m. Mayor Peterson will have lunch with neighborhood leaders, civic council members, business people, etc. Where: Buffer Park, 3825 Foltz Road

12:30 p.m. Director of Latino Affairs Ricardo Gambetta and Director of Community Development Andy Fraizer will visit the Decatur Branch of the Marion County Public Library.
12:30 p.m. After School Programs Coordinator David Klinkose and MBE/WBE Director Jonathan Carpenter will visit U-Store.
12:55–1:50 p.m. Mayor Peterson will visit Decatur Central High School and talk with students, then talk to administrators about the school’s renovation to become five smaller schools. Where: 5251 Kentucky Ave.
1 p.m. After School Programs Coordinator David Klinkose and MBE/WBE Director Jonathan Carpenter will visit Williams Chiropractic.
1 p.m. Deputy Chief of Staff Andy Klineman and Director of Constituent Services Kristin Reed will visit Stone Ridge Apartments.
1:30 p.m. After School Programs Coordinator David Klinkose and MBE/WBE Director Jonathan Carpenter will visit Shelter Insurance.
