Mayor to join school leaders, health officials for release of survey results detailing youth obesity
Peterson, Dr. Caine to announce new wellness grants for local school districts
Indianapolis – Mayor Bart Peterson today will join school leaders and health officials to release results of a comprehensive survey outlining obesity among local school-aged children.
The survey is the city’s most detailed look ever at youth obesity and among the most thorough community health studies in the nation.

As part of the FitCity Initiative, the Mayor and Marion County Health Department Director Dr. Virginia A. Caine will announce a series of wellness grants targeted at school districts across the county to help them address obesity among youth.
