BioCrossroads and Indiana Future Fund to celebrate formation and $16.5 million investment in new life sciences company
Deal marks largest early-stage biotech investment in Indiana in at least 10 years.
INDIANAPOLIS: In what is considered to be a historic moment in the history of the BioCrossroads initiative and the Indiana Future Fund, officials will gather at the Skyline Club in Indianapolis on Tuesday to celebrate the formation of a new $16.5 million Indianapolis-based biopharmaceutical company called CoLucid.
With seven out of every 10 new jobs in the U.S. created by small, entrepreneurial companies, BioCrossroads is focused on creating new businesses from existing life sciences assets in Indiana. This ‘21st Century’ economic development strategy relies on our ability to harness ideas, talent and money to grow small businesses and our economy. The formation of CoLucid is a great example of how BioCrossroads is leveraging these resources to create jobs and opportunity for Hoosiers.
