Second consolidation transition authority meeting to be held next week
INDIANAPOLIS - The Law Enforcement Consolidation Transition Authority, the body which will oversee and make the final decisions regarding the merger of the Indianapolis Police Department (IPD) and the Marion County Sheriff’s Department, will hold its second meeting Tuesday next week.
Members of the authority include Sheriff Frank Anderson, City-County Council President Monroe Gray and Mayor Bart Peterson.
WHEN: Tuesday, January 17
5:30 - 6:30 p.m.
WHERE: 118 City-County Building
Members of the authority will discuss appointment of an executive director for the Transition Advisory Committee, its citizen appointment to the committee and goals and assignments for the Law Enforcement Steering committee.
