Mayor to announce Clean Streams-Healthy Neighborhoods initiative
INDIANAPOLIS - Please join Mayor Bart Peterson as he announces the Clean Streams-Healthy Neighborhoods initiative, a $435 million county-wide plan that will improve the health and quality of life in many neighborhoods throughout Marion County.

Since 2000, the city has invested more than $200 million to reduce raw sewage overflows and improve the sewage collection and treatment system. These improvements have reduced raw sewage overflows by approximately 145 gallons per year. In addition, more than $11.5 million has been invested in flood control and drainage projects.
