Plaque to be dedicated at intersection where traffic fatality occurred
INDIANAPOLIS - Mayor Bart Peterson and Councillor Vernon Brown will dedicate a plaque in honor of Ny'Shawn Patrice Ellis-Poole, who died two days after being struck by a car on April 16 as she crossed the street on her way home from Grassy Creek Park.
WHEN: Saturday, June 25

WHERE: 30th and Grassy Creek Drive
Councilor Vernon Brown and other community members worked with the Department of Public Works to have a crosswalk and flasher installed immediately west of the intersection of 30th St. and Grassy Creek Dr., where the accident occurred, to help prevent future accidents there. The sidewalk has also now been extended to the crosswalk.
