Mayor orders flags to fly at half-staff in honor of Officer Craig Herbert
INDIANAPOLIS - Mayor Bart Peterson today ordered the flags of the United States, Indiana and Indianapolis to be flown at half-staff at all Indianapolis-Marion County facilities in honor of City of Lawrence Police Officer Craig S. Herbert. Officer Herbert was killed in the line of duty Saturday.
Mayor Peterson also asked private citizens, businesses and other facilities to lower flags to half-staff as well. Flags will fly at half-staff until further notice.
