Consolidation Transition Authority to hold first meeting Friday
INDIANAPOLIS - The Law Enforcement Consolidation Transition Authority, the body which will oversee and make the final decisions regarding the merger of the Indianapolis Police Department (IPD) and the Marion County Sheriff’s Department, will hold its first meeting on Friday.
Members of the authority include Mayor Bart Peterson, Sheriff Frank Anderson and City-County Council President Steve Talley.
WHEN: Friday, December 23; 1:30 p.m.
WHERE: 260 City-County Building
The merger of the two departments was passed by a bi-partisan vote of the City-County Council Monday night.
