Mayor Peterson, Indy Parks to officially open new Eagle Creek Greenway
INDIANAPOLIS - Tomorrow, Friday, November 4, Mayor Bart Peterson will join Indy Parks and Recreation and Pike Township residents to officially open Phase I of the Eagle Creek Greenway. The trail is 1.5 miles long, and will eventually grow into a 16-mile Greenway connecting Pike Township into downtown via the White River Greenway.

WHEN: Friday, November 4, 2005, 8:30 a.m.
WHERE: Eagle Creek Soccer Complex at Reed Road and 56th Street.
Please use second entrance, located just south of 56th Street on Reed Road across from the Eagle Creek Woods Subdivision.
This is the eighth Greenway in Indianapolis’ system, and the first Greenway in Pike Township. The cost of the first phase is approximately $500,000 - $400,000 from TIFF grants, and $100,000 from Indy Parks and Recreation’s Capital Improvement Project fund.
