Mayor to host MLK observance tomorrow
INDIANAPOLIS - Mayor Bart Peterson will join with City-County Council members, city-county employees and Indianapolis residents to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at a city observance.

3:30 - 4:30 p.m.
WHERE: Beurt R. SerVaas Public Assembly Room
230 City-County Building
Participants in this year's program will include:
- Carolyn Coleman, deputy mayor, City of Indianapolis;
- Joint honor guard of the Indianapolis Police Department, Indianapolis Fire Department & the Marion County Sheriff's Department;
- Performances by city employees Lela Bagby, Elizabeth White and Robert White;
- Pastor John Ramsey, New Life Worship Center;
- Indianapolis Charter Schools Honor Choir under the leadership of Director Melissa Keylock and Accompanist Shelbie Stanford;
- Keynote address by Dr. Pat Brown Payne, director, IPS Center for Multicultural Education and the Crispus Attucks Museum;
- Anna Artega, Northwest High School, & David Bridgeforth, Manuel High School; and
- Reverend Felipe Martinez, Whitewater Valley Presbytery.
