Mayor Peterson wants to ensure citizens have easy access to information and
records maintained by local government. This guide to public records of city government was created to inform citizens about the records maintained by each department of the City of Indianapolis.
Public records are generally accessible under Indiana state law - the Indiana Access to Public Records Act (Open Records Law). Below are links to guides for each department (Adobe Acrobat Reader Required):
