Welcome to the official home page of the Town of Speedway, Indiana. The Town of Speedway was officially incorporated in 1926. The entire Indianapolis Motor Speedway is actually located within the limits of the Town of Speedway. The town is a separate governmental unit within Indianapolis with its own town council, police department, fire department, street department, parks and recreation department, water and wastewater utilities, school system, and public library.
