John Cosby was found shot in the back in the alley south of 1300 W. Roache. There had been a report of shots fired in the area. Several West District officers heard the shots while on a nearby traffic stop. Officers arrived within minutes, finding Mr. Cosby. There were no witnesses or suspects on the scene.
