Jason Collins was shot several times while in the street near 3000 W. 12th Street. The murder occurred at approximately 4:45 am on July 30, 2004. The unknown shooter was in an older model gold custom van equipped with a luggage rack and a spare tire. There was a darker colored stripe on the van.
