At approximately 1:13 am on August 29, 2004, Francisco Morales was seen struggling with a Hispanic male after a shot was fired, striking Morales in the chest. The incident occurred on the parking lot of the liquor store at 3374 W. Michigan Street. The suspect picked up a handgun and ran eastbound through the alley north of W. Michigan Street. The suspect had black hair and wore a white t-shirt and blue jeans.
