Long-term crime trend charts will be prepared for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department starting with January 2007 data.
The trend chart below is provided for the former Indianapolis Police Department Service District only. We regret that it is not possible to provide a similar chart for consolidated IPD and MCSD data.
The chart presents a comparison over the years for the IPD UCR Part I crimes of: criminal homicide, forcible rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, larceny (theft), motor vehicle theft, and arson. Data for the chart were classified and compiled by staff assigned to the UCR and Planning Units.
