Participant Comments

  • "The Drug Court requires that you make a lifestyle change.  You have to slowly wean yourself off the people you used to hang with (who use drugs)."
  • "The program helped me to the point where now I have a positive outlook on life; I know I can do anything that I set my mind to doing."
  • "The Program taught me to focus, not on my past (where I came from), but where I am going.  If I can do it anyone can, because I was out there 24-7.  I feel good about myself now."
  • "I like the classes that we take (through the private providers).  We talked about recovery and relapse.  The classes are educational and also teach you a new thought process such as identifying triggers.  Instead of using, you learn alternatives ways to deal with things."
  • "If it wasn't for the drug court program, then I wouldn't be here."
  • "The drug testing helps with staying clean."
  • "The program keeps you busy which is good.  With too much free time, there is more time available to slip and use again."
  • "The program has helped me to the point where I now have a positive outlook on life; I know I can do anything that I set my mind to doing."
