Clothing Pantry
Through donations from the community, clothing is supplied to the underprivileged and homeless that come in contact with the court - with a special emphasis on winter needs (coats, hats, gloves, etc).
Community Service Work
The CSW crew works Monday through Saturday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. Arrive to the Community Court at 1525 Shelby street no later than 7:30 am for all community service work. Make sure to sign in. You must come to Court in advance to reschedule. Please contact Mark Bunny at 327-1019 or mbunny@indygov.org for questions regarding your community service work.
Community Treatment Program
The CTP class meets on Thursdays from 3:00 to 4:30 pm. Check in at the front desk of the Community Court for your class.
Community Impact Panel
The Community Impact Panel meets on alternating Tuesdays at the Community Court at 9:00 am and at the IPD South District police station at 5:00 pm. Please contact Mark Taxter at 327-2703 or mtaxter@indygov.org to confirm the location.
Job Development Component
Qualified candidates are enrolled in the Keys to Work Program with the initial orientation performed at the Community Justice Center. This component readies the client for employment (interview practices, resume preparation, etc.) and then places that candidate into the appropriate job market. Transportation and financial support are supplied throughout this process.
Transportation
Transportation is provided to those indigent defendants in the form of bus passes to assist them in the completion of their tasks/sanctions as ordered by the Community Court.
Treatment Readiness Program
The TRP or treatment readiness class is taught by CASI (Community Addiction Services of Indianapolis). The class in English meets on Fridays from 9:00 to 11:00 am. Check in at the front desk of the Community Court for your class. La clase en el espaņol encuentra el jueves de 9:00 estoy a 11:00 soy.
