Procedures

Requests for a continuance (a postponement of an action pending in Community Court to a subsequent day) will not be made over the phone.

Community court starts at 1:30 pm, Monday through Friday.  You must be on time.  Please check in at the front desk.  Written verification of medical or family emergencies is required.  If you fail to appear at Community Court, a warrant for your arrest will be issued. 

Arrest Warrants

If a warrant has been issued for your arrest from the Community Court, come to Community Court immediately to surrender on the warrant to avoid being arrested and taken into custody.

Community Service Work

When you are scheduled to perform community service work as part of your sentence, you will follow this procedure:

  • Appear at Community Court on time;
  • Sign in with the Community Service Crew leader;
  • Carry a personal sign-in card that will be provided to you
  • Board court-provided transportation to travel to the work destination;
  • Perform work as designated at the work site and return via the court-provided transportation once completed.
