Pay by Mail

If you mail your payment, please mail early and use the mailing address below.   Also, be sure to put the correct amount of postage on the envelope - including extra postage for oversized and/or heavy envelopes.  We cannot accept mail that has postage due.

Mailed payments must have a U.S. Postal Service postmark on or before the due date to avoid a late-payment penalty.

Mail payments to:

Marion County Treasurer

PO Box 6145

Indianapolis, IN 46206-6145

Please be aware that a postage meter postmark affixed by someone other than the U.S. Postal Service (i.e., a business or third-party mailing facility) will be acceptable unless it is overwritten by a Postal Service postmark.  This may occur if the Post Office is processing mail after the property tax due date.  In this instance, the U.S. Postal Service postmark will prevail.
