Charges Filed in Carriage Crash

Indianapolis – Marion County Prosecutor Carl Brizzi filed charges today against Timothy Carlson in connection to a crash that happened Sunday afternoon.

Carlson has been charged with D felony possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor operating a vehicle while intoxicated and misdemeanor operating a vehicle while never having received a license.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed by police Carlson allegedly ran into the back of a horse-drawn-carriage as it was taking passengers on a tour of downtown. The driver of the carriage was thrown from the vehicle as the horse took off with the passengers in the carriage.

Carlson allegedly blew a .115 on a portable breathalyzer test and a blood draw was performed at the hospital so that his blood alcohol level can be properly determined. The probable cause affidavit said that Carlson allegedly had Ambien, a schedule four narcotic, without the proper prescription.
