The MECA HelpDesk is staffed by trained Systems Technicians 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, including holidays. The MECA Systems Technicians are responsible for helping diagnose any immediate systems problems and either making the repair or contacting the appropriate experts for repair. Fire, Police, EMS personnel and dispatchers can report to the Help Desk when they experience problems with system equipment such as radios, pagers, Mobile Data Terminals (MDTs), CAD, FRMS/PRMS and 911.
