Currently hiring for 911 IMC Law Enforcement Communications Dispatch

Hiring for all 3 shifts

Need qualified people ASAP!

Starting salary $23, 943.40

·        Medical, dental, vision and life insurance is eligible at the first of the month following 45 days of consecutive employment.  Short and long term disability.  Accruable vacation and sick time.

·        Qualifications:

·        21 years of age

·        High School Diploma or GED

·        Minimum 25 wpm

·        No battery convictions and no felony convictions

·        Should possess the following skills:

·        Good verbal, grammar, spelling and diction

·        High stress tolerance

·        Above average retention level

·        Common sense and logical reasoning

·        Flexibility (holidays and weekends)

·        Geographical knowledge (reading street guides and maps)

·        Be personable, multi-tasked and have good people skills

·        Screening process will include:

·        3 minute typing test of minimum 25 wpm

·        Aptitude/retention

·        Criminal history check

·        Oral interview

·        Psychological and physical exam (hearing, vision and drug test

Computer Programmer

 

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is accepting applications for an entry level programmer.

 

Candidates will be required to work on the full lifecycle of custom projects (analysis, design, and development), maintain/support existing systems, assist with implementation and analyze escalated technical problems that may arise.

 

Candidates should be highly motivated self-starters and be able to demonstrate competence in technical problem solving. Candidates must be able to work under pressure, both individually and as part of the team. Self-development, the ability to multitask, and a willingness to learn are other key skills candidates should possess.

Candidates should have a solid educational background with good working knowledge of Crystal Reports, Microsoft Office Products, MS SQL Server, Oracle PL SQL, MS Access, and Microsoft Visual Studio (VB). Candidates must also have a strong understanding and practical experience of data modelling and object orientated design.

The role is ideal for a recent graduate, although 12 to 18 months of work experience in a related field is helpful.

Starting salary for this position will be in the mid $30’s with benefits including health, dental, vision, and life insurance available after 45 days.
