Dispatcher

The Marion County Sheriff's Department seeks applicants for the position of Police Dispatcher. The position is responsible for receiving and dispatching 911 emergency calls for the Indianapolis Police Department and Marion County Sheriff's Department. This is an entry level position and advancement is available. Starting salary is $23,133.76 with a potential of $44,332.50 - plus overtime. Insurance Benefits are available the first day of the month following 45 days of consecutive employment. 



We require that you must be at least 21 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants must be American Citizens and cannot have a felony conviction. You must be willing to work any shift, weekends and holidays. Applicants must be able to type a minimum of 25 wpm. All applicants must submit to and pass a psychological examination and drug screening.
