Reserve Programs

The Marion County Sheriff's Department maintains the most extensive reserve program in America. The Reserve Division was formed in 1968 to supplement the Marion County Sheriff's Department Road Patrol. Since then our reserve programs have expanded to the point that we are capable of completely replacing all Merit Deputies with Reserve Deputies on the road while they attend training without overtime.  In addition, we also use volunteers who are trained and sworn as MCSD Special Deputies to drive jail wagons on the weekends allowing deputies more time to patrol instead of transporting prisoners.

MCSD Reserve Programs are a unique opportunity for you to serve the people of Marion County.
