Statewide Orthophotography Project
IndyGIS, in partnership with IMAGIS, has provided access to high quality digital aerial photography on an annual basis since 1999 and semiannually since 1993. In 2005, IndyGIS participated in the Statewide Digital Orthophotography Program. This program created high-resolution orthophotography for counties on a statewide basis to support homeland security, emergency management, and other business and government applications. This statewide contract provided 1-foot resolution covering the entire state. Marion County is one of several counties which opted to upgrade from the base 1-foot resolution to 6-inch resolution. A statewide Digital Elevation Model was also delivered as part of this project.
