It seemed like an easy task. The data would be extremely valuable for analysis. All I wanted were legal descriptions for the TIF and other taxing districts in the county. One would think this information would be readily available. Well, it wasn’t. Please join me as I share what I’ve learned while trying to obtain this critical dataset. I’ll explain why this information is so important, why people are so reluctant to help and discuss some surprising ways to go about getting it that may benefit you as well.
