Important Deadlines
Special Election, March 11, 2008

Voter registration deadline 
     Monday, February 11, 2008
     4:30 p.m.
     ** NOTE:  This deadline only applies to those individuals who have never
     registered in Marion County. If you are a registered voter and reside
     in the 7th Congressional District, you may participate in the March 11
     Special Election.

Absentee voting by mail begins
     no later than Tuesday, February 12, 2008

Early voting begins in the Clerk's Office
     Monday, February 11, 2008
           
Mailed/Faxed absentee ballot applications due to Clerk's Office
     Monday, March 3, 2008
     Midnight

Early voting ends in the Clerk's Office
    
Monday, March 10, 2008
     Noon

Special Election Day
     Tuesday, March 11, 2008
     6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Absentee and Early Voting Timeline

BY MAIL
     * Absentee ballot applications are now available in the Clerk's Office.
     * Voters can call (317) 327-VOTE and selection option 2 to have an application
        mailed to them.
     * Voters can pick one up in person at the Marion County Election Board located in
        the Marion County Clerk's Office, W-122, City-County Building.
     * Download an application here.
     * Absentee ballots will begin being mailed by Tuesday, February 12, 2008
     * Deadline to receive mailed or faxed absentee ballot applications by the Marion
        County Clerk's Office: Midnight, Monday, March 3, 2008
     * Deadline to receive mailed absentee ballots in the Marion County Clerk's Office:
        6 p.m. Election Day, March 11, 2008
