Friends of Democracy
Thousands of community activists and volunteers are needed to run a successful election in Indianapolis. Nearly 3,000 people are needed to work at the polls in addition to several hundred more to work behind the scenes.
As you can see, encouraging Marion County residents to play an active role in elections is critical to the health of our democracy. That's why the Marion County Election Board created the 'Friends of Democracy.'
Becoming a Friend is easy. Commit to a few items, send it back to the Election Board and then get to work! Materials like newsletter articles, forms and sample email reminders are available on this site to help you fulfill your pledge.
Best of luck...and thanks for demonstrating that democracy is not a spectator sport!
Beth White, Marion County Clerk
